Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing this website, submitting a contact form, or using the M4 Cyber Solutions client portal, you agree to these terms. Engagement-specific terms are governed by the signed Statement of Work and Rules of Engagement document for that engagement, which supersede these general terms where they conflict.

2. Authorized testing

All security testing conducted by M4 Cyber Solutions is performed under written authorization from the client. M4 Cyber Solutions will not test systems, networks, or applications without explicit written permission covering the specific scope of the engagement. Any testing activity is limited to the scope defined in the signed Rules of Engagement document.

3. Client portal access

Access to the M4 Cyber Solutions client portal is granted solely to authorized personnel of the client organization for the duration of the relevant engagement and for 30 days following engagement close. Portal access and all associated data are removed at the end of that retention window. Clients are responsible for downloading deliverables before access expires.

Client portal accounts must not be shared with unauthorized parties. The client is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of portal login credentials and for notifying M4 Cyber Solutions promptly if credentials are believed to be compromised.

Portal content — including findings, evidence artifacts, host data, and reports — is confidential and intended solely for the client organization's internal security use.

4. Deliverables and intellectual property

Upon full payment, the client owns the engagement deliverables (reports, findings, evidence) as they relate to the client's specific environment and data. M4 Cyber Solutions retains ownership of all methodologies, tools, frameworks, and proprietary systems used to conduct the engagement.

Client deliverables must not be redistributed publicly or shared with third parties without redacting sensitive technical detail that could aid an adversary against M4 Cyber Solutions' other clients.

5. Limitation of liability

M4 Cyber Solutions' liability arising from any engagement is limited to the total fees paid for that engagement. M4 Cyber Solutions is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Security assessments reflect the state of the environment at the time of testing and do not guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities beyond the agreed scope.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to treat engagement scope, findings, client environment details, and all deliverables as confidential. M4 Cyber Solutions will not disclose client-identifying information in case studies or marketing materials without explicit written permission from the client.

7. Website use

This website is provided for informational purposes. Unauthorized access attempts against this website or associated infrastructure are prohibited and may be referred to law enforcement. Use of this website constitutes acceptance of these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.
